Product Care Instructions

We highly recommend that you DO NOT machine wash your 9 STRAP.  To remove dirt and debris, a slightly damp cloth with warm water rubbed along the strap should do the trick. The polypropylene strap will not absorb water, so it should be safe to wipe away unwanted dirt and debris.

Leather Care (Honestly, it’s probably easier and less cost to just buy a new one :)

  1. Remove any debris: Using a soft brush or a lint roller, gently remove any dirt or debris from the surface of the leather. Be sure to pay extra attention to crevices and seams.
  2. Clean the leather: Dampen a clean, soft cloth with a mild leather cleaner and gently wipe down the entire surface of the leather. Be sure to use a small amount of cleaner and work in small sections to avoid over-wetting the leather.
  3. Dry the leather: Once you have finished cleaning the leather, use a dry, soft cloth to gently wipe away any remaining cleaner. Allow the leather to air dry completely before moving on to the next step.
  4. Condition the leather: Once the leather is dry, use a leather conditioner to moisturize and protect the leather. Apply a small amount of conditioner to a clean, soft cloth and gently rub it into the leather. Be sure to work in small sections and pay extra attention to crevices and seams.
  5. Buff the leather: Once the conditioner has been applied, use a dry, soft cloth to gently buff the leather to a shine.
  6. Store the 9 STRAP properly: After cleaning and conditioning the leather, store the 9 STRAP in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and heat.

Don’t use a really wet cloth or water
Water causes the hide to stick or bond, which could ultimately leave the hide dry and stiff.

Don’t use harsh cleaning chemicals
Cowhide is a natural fabric, and therefore using anything other than a cleaner made specific for the fabric will only cause damage to the look and texture of your item.

Don’t machine wash
It will likely ruin the texture of your hide and the colors will likely run.
